Least Cost Routing

Least Cost Routing (LCR) enables the user to create LCR / Customer specific routing. Springboard’s software includes override settings allowing for routes to be ignored (in case of faults for example). Users are able to set preferred routing allowing traffic to be forced to particular carriers. Cost and quality ranking can be set at destination and customer to destination level. There is also the option to set margin and percentage values, meaning that only carriers that pass the value check will be included in call plans.

Springboard enables you to manage your routing based on a wide variety of parameters depending on your specific requirements, and includes the following;

  • Weight sets - made up of percentages of rates or quality or MHT or minutes
  • Minimum margin value or percentage
  • Ignored or preferred carriers
  • Carriers in designated positions based on agreements
  • Granularity - our solution allows you to build your LCR by groups of carriers or single carriers, down to ingress route/port level. To improve speed of generation or upload it can be limited to a country, destination or even a dial prefix level.

Integration of the LCR import direct from Springboard into your switch improves the speed with which changes are effective. Our functionality to rollback to previous call plan versions enables you to reverse any changes at the same speed, should it be required.
